WISCONSIN DNR URGES OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS TO BE CAUTIOUS DURING WINTER ACTIVITIES
NORTHERN WISCONSIN – The Wisconsin DNR is urging residents to remain cautious of quickly changing ice conditions on lakes and waterways, which are especially common during the early and late parts of winter. Additionally, snowmobilers are advised to slow down, stay on marked trails, dress appropriately, carry a first aid kit, and never travel alone. State law prohibits those over the age of 12 and born after January 1st of 1985 from operating a snowmobile without a valid safety education certificate.
